Sintel - New Blender Movie

Blender is the premier open source, cross-platform 3D content creation suite. If you’re a talented artist and brave enough to tackle the software, there’s nothing you can’t do with Blender.

There have been a number of great short films made with Blender, including Elephants Dream and Big Buck Bunny. Sintel, a new short film created by an international team of artists and developers, has just been released, and my goodness it’s amazing. You can watch it here, but I recommend downloading a 1080p version and putting it on a big screen.

Just as watching Guthrie Govan makes me want to toss my guitar out a window, seeing art like this makes me want to Pete Townsend my Wacom tablet. Hats off.
