The Science of Motivation

Of the 30 odd feeds I have at any given time in Miro (if it wouldn’t cause domestic issues I would dump TV in a heartbeat), TED Talks are always among my favorite. This one is a bit off the beaten path for this blog, but I liked it so much I wanted to share it here. It’s Dan Pink on the surprising science of motivation.

My gut reaction when I see things like this is Not me brother – show me the money. But that’s a reflex. When I stop to think about it, if I did what I do for money, I would suck at it. When it comes to even moderately creative tasks, I haven’t met anyone remarkable that didn’t have a passion for what they were doing.
