A Great Text Editor: Notepad++

The PC is constantly trying new tools and IDE’s to edit his wares. Sometimes you want a quick and dirty edit with something a little nicer than notepad but not the CPU tenderizer of an IDE like Visual Studio or Dreamweaver. Enter Notepad++.

This open source text editor supports syntax highlighting and folding for HTML, XML, Javascript, ASP, VB, SQL, CSS, PHP, Python… the list goes on. It even prints the syntax highlighting in color. It opens files in different tabs so multiple items can be edited at once, and it makes a right-click entry for easy access with virtually any file.
