ArcGIS 9.2 Service Pack 1 Out

In the dang-I-should-have-waited-on-installing-that department, ESRI has released service pack 1 for ArcGIS 9.2. This includes service packs for pretty much everything - ArcView, ArcInfo, ArcEditor, ArcIMS, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Engine, ArcGIS Server, etc.

And to answer your next question - yes, a ArcGIS 9.2 client without service pack 1 will have problems connecting to a SDE server with service pack 1. From past experience, problems can range from a lot of weird bugs (some screwing up tables in your SDE database) to a simple “Eh….no.” message when trying to establish a connection.

Sigh. I may hold out a bit longer. At this pace there’ll likely be a service pack 2 out by February.
