International Open Data Hackathon - December 4th
The international open data hackathon is happening on December 4th.
What is this?
It’s a gathering of citizens in cities around the world to write applications using open public data to show support for and encourage the adoption open data policies by the world's local, regional and national governments.
Hackers, get out there and start hacking. Mecklenburg County’s open data portal is waiting for you. If you come up with something cool, let me know and I’ll get it in our application showcase.
To get the juices flowing, here’s Tim Berners-Lee’s TED talk on open data from back in February. Hack people, hack!
